Student Comment Receives Brown Award for Excellence in Legal Writing

Congratulations to MJ Egan for winning the 2019 Brown Award for Excellence in Legal Writing from the Judge John R. Brown Scholarship Foundation. The Brown Award recognizes “excellence in legal writing in American law schools.” A panel consisting of a law school dean, a federal judge, and a law school professor selected her student comment, When Does “Currently” Using No Longer Apply? The Americans with Disabilities Act, the Opioid Crisis, & the Search for a Solution.

MJ is an associate editor of the George Mason Law Review. Her award-winning comment will appear in Volume 27, Issue 1.
